The Maoists will become a ‘pendulum’: Rabindra Mishra
Originally published on myrepublica | Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Senior Vice Chairman Rabindra Mishra has said that the CPN (Maoist Center) will become a ‘pendulum’ party.
Claiming that there will be only three parties left in Nepal in the next few years, Mishra said that basically there will be only Rastriya Prajatantra Party, CPN-UML and Nepali Congress Party. He said that the CPN (Maoist Center) will become “a pendulum and swing from left to right in the Nepali political space to follow either the UML or the Congress or merge with them” within the next few years.
He also said both the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML were victims of what he called ‘Prachandisation’, hinting at the ideological closeness these parties have with the CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal aka ‘Prachanda’.
Mishra said that the responsibility of protecting the country’s religion, culture, existence, self-respect, geography, identity, caste and language is now on RPP’s shoulders. He also claimed that the RPP will transform the country on a progressive basis from the upcoming elections.
Mishra, who is also a candidate for a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from RPP in Kathmandu Constituency-1, also claimed that he is the political successor of Congress leader Ganesh Man Singh.
